This website was lovingly created by Dan's sister, Tammy on April 18, 2007. Dan was born on August 6, 1970 in Wisconsin and passed away on September 19, 2006 and the age of 36 in Wisconsin to suicide. Dan and my other brother, Jeff owned and operated their own business for 10 years. They were best friends. Dan left behind our Mom and step-dad (Judy and Steve), a daughter Ashley (age 17 at the time of Dan's death), myself and my hubby (Tammy and Louie), a brother (Jeff), 2 nephews (my 2 sons ~ Mike and Adam), several aunts and uncles and numerous friends. My brother Jeff also passed away on November 4, 2006 as well to suicide. I have also created a separate Memorial site for Jeff.

My tribute to Dan:
Dan was a very kind, caring and considerate man. He had a heart of gold. He would do anything for anybody. He dearly loved his daughter (Ashley), his family and his friends. He was a very quiet man and kept things bottled up most of the time, that is the very reason none of us knew he was depressed ~ his death is still a shock to all of us.
I was 6-1/2 years old when Dan was born (he was the youngest of the 3 of us). What a beautiful little baby he was and I was so proud to say that he was my baby brother. Like all siblings, we had our ups and downs sometimes, but we always got through them. I would give anything to have him back with us. I will love and miss you forever Dan. ~ Your sis ~

Friendship is a priceless gift,
That cannot be bought or sold,
But its value is far greater,
Then a mountain made of gold,
So when you ask God for a gift,
Be thankful if He sends,
Not diamonds, pearls,or riches,
But the Love of real, true friends.

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
oh, so happy and so bright!
there is perfect joy and beauty
in this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
trod the valley of the shade?
oh! but Jesus' love illuminated
every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me
in that way so hard to tread;
and with Jesus' arm to lean on,
could I have one doubt to dread?

Then you must grieve so sorely,
for I love you dearly still;
try to look beyond earth's shadows,
pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,
so you must not idly stand;
do it now, while life remains-
you shall rest in Jesus' Land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
oh! the rapture of that meeting,
oh! the joy to see you come!

THE SERENITY PRAYER

God grant me Serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
and Wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time,
accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen

Jesus said,
My sheep hear My voice, I know them, they follow Me. I give them eternal life, they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. John 10:26-28

Tammy this verse comforts me so much, I hope it will you too. xoxo

When I've come to the end of my journey
And I've traveled my last weary mile,
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only my smile.

Forget unkind words I have spoken;
Remember some good I have done.
Forget I ever had heartaches,
And remember I've had loads of fun.

Forget that I stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell along my way.
Remember I have fought some hard battles
And won, ere the close of the day.

Then forget to greive for my going,
I would not have you sad for a day,
But in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay.

And come in the shade of the evening,
When the sun paints the sky in the west.
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best.
